The .22LR is the child of the Flobert BB Cap of 1845 and the .22 Smith and Wesson cartridge of 1857. It was design by an American firearms manufacturer, J. Stevens Arms and Tool Company, in 1887, and it has been a firearms fan favorite for decades.
