In a combat scenario where his assailant did not halt even after taking two rounds to center mass, Rousseau added a head shot, and, of course, the guerilla went down. He later shared his experience with Colonel Jeff Cooper, who turned it into the now-famed Mozambique Drill. A double tap to center mass followed by a head shot quickly became the gold standard of self-defense, and one you yourself should be practicing during training.
